COVID-19 Information for Travelers

We know our passengers have questions about how COVID-19 is affecting the airport and what the airport is doing to help protect passengers and employees. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and workforce is our top priority. McCarran is working closely with public health officials at the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to monitor the status of COVID-19 in our region and support a coordinated response. Below is information on what the airport is doing, operational updates, traveler advice and travel impacts. This page is updated as new information becomes available.

What LAS is Doing to Protect Passengers and Employees

Our custodial teams are deploying hospital-grade disinfectant on all high-touch surfaces around the airport, such as kiosks, escalators, door handles, etc. With the onset of the global pandemic, we increased the frequency of application and expanded the areas of the airport that are covered. The disinfectant in use is recommended by the CDC to combat COVID-19 and is being applied in the highest concentration for maximum impact.

Passenger Health Screening

The CDC is only screening passengers arriving on flights from certain origins. That screening is taking place at 13 designated U.S. airports. McCarran is not one of them.

Social Distancing
  • We ask that only ticketed travelers and employees enter the terminals. Greet your loved ones at Passenger Pickup, and say your goodbyes at the curb.
  • Signs placed throughout the airport encourage social distancing, and floor decals placed 6 feet apart help reinforce the message.
Parking

The Terminal 1 Economy Lot is temporarily closed. Customers who wish to use economy parking should park in the Terminal 3 Economy Lot and take the Inter-Terminal Shuttle to Terminal 1.

Upper levels of Long Term parking garages may be closed. Signs are posted directing drivers to available parking. Valet is available only at Terminal 1. For up-to-date parking information call 702.261.5122.

Dining and Shopping

Many shops and restaurants are temporarily closed. Food, beverage and necessities are available in each gate area. What's open?
