HAVE I.D. HANDY – Be prepared
to present valid identification as requested by authorized personnel at
the ticket counter, security checkpoints, and boarding gates.
LIMIT LUGGAGE - TSA guidelines limit carry-on luggage
to one (1) personal item and one (1) standard piece of luggage. Personal
items may include a purse, backpack, fanny pack, laptop computer, diaper
bag, etc. Standard luggage may include a garment bag, suitcase, duffel
bag, rolling bag, etc., provided the piece conforms to the airline’s
size requirements and can fit in the overhead bin or below the seat. Contact

PACK SMART – Certain items are prohibited in your luggage.
Common household and workplace items can become dangerous when transported
by air. Changes in temperature and pressure during flight can cause items
to leak, generate toxic fumes, or ignite. For a complete list of prohibited

website. - Effective September 26, 2006, by
order of the Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration,
passengers may carry ONE resealable 1 quart size clear plastic bag which
can contain liquids, gels and/or aerosols in containers of 3 ounces of
less. The contents in the plastic bag must fit comfortably and be completely
closed/sealed and subjected to x-ray inspection separate from the passenger's

DRESS SMART – Jewelry, body piercings,
belt buckles, shoes, and other attire containing metal may set off the
metal detectors at the security checkpoints. To save time, pack all such
metal items in your carry-on luggage before arriving at the checkpoint.
Passengers will be required to take off their shoes before going through
the metal detectors.
ANSWER QUESTIONS HONESTLY – Be prepared to answer
questions about your bags when asked by appropriate personnel. Criminals
may use unsuspecting passengers to carry explosives or other dangerous
items onto an aircraft.
WATCH YOUR BAGS – Never leave your luggage unattended.
Do not accept luggage or packages from others you do not know. If you
see any unattended luggage or packages report them immediately.
COOPERATE WITH SECURITY PERSONNEL – Be prepared
to turn on all electronic devices including computers, cellular phones,
beepers, etc. as requested at the security checkpoints. Remember that
all checked and carry-on luggage is subject to search by authorized personnel.
REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY – Immediately report any suspicious
activities or individuals.
DON’T JOKE ABOUT SECURITY – Joking or talking
about weapons, explosives, terrorism, or other threats while at the security
checkpoints can compel authorized personnel to take appropriate action.
Penalties can include prison time and/or substantial fines.
FOLLOW CHECKPOINT REQUIREMENTS - Only ticketed passengers
are permitted beyond security checkpoints. Exceptions can be made to assist
unaccompanied minors or passengers with special needs. Please contact
your airline to make arrangements and obtain the necessary documentation. |
